We’re proud to share that La Fosse Academy has been shortlisted for SheCanCode’s Pathways to Tech Awards.
The awards celebrate training providers around the world that are creating real, inclusive routes into technology careers. SheCanCode looks for organisations that show a genuine commitment to diversity across their cohorts, measurable impact for women and underrepresented groups, programmes built for people from non-traditional backgrounds, strong partnerships with employers, and fresh thinking in how training is delivered.

Being recognised for that work means a lot to everyone here.
Why this matters to us
Women make up around 20% of IT professionals in the UK. A huge amount of talent never gets near the industry, because the industry rarely looks like somewhere it belongs.
We can’t fix that on our own. We can do something about who gets a route in.
Most of the women who join us didn’t study computer science. They’ve worked in retail, teaching, hospitality, admin and the armed forces. They were good at solving problems and wanted work that went somewhere. Nine weeks later, they’re working as data analysts, cloud engineers and business analysts with the organisations we partner with.
Today, 41% of our associates are women. That’s ahead of the industry average. It isn’t where we want it to be, and we’re working to grow it across every cohort.
How we open the door
No tech background needed. Our technical assessment is there to see how you think, not to check what you already know. We tell you what’s in it and how to prepare.
Nine weeks of focused training. Associates train Monday to Friday, mostly at our London Victoria office, and specialise in areas such as data and AI, DevOps and cloud, information security, and development and test.
A real job at the end of it. From week five, our placement team starts putting associates forward for roles. Most move into a placement with one of our clients, and many are hired permanently.
A word from the team
“A career in tech shouldn’t depend on what you studied at school or who you happen to know. Our associates prove that every cohort. They arrive with curiosity and grit, and nine weeks later they’re doing brilliant work for some of the UK’s leading organisations. Being shortlisted is a real recognition of them and of everyone who supports them. It’s also a reminder that there’s more to do. We want to see far more women choosing tech, and we’ll keep working to make that route as open as it can be.”
